What is the minimum PC configuration I can use with AMS?

The following are the minimum requirements for using AMS:

  • Pentium PC
  • Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows NT 4.0
  • 32 MB RAM (minimum)
  • More than 60 MB free hard disk space
  • Mouse
  • CD ROM Drive
  • VGA or better video
  • PKZIP command line Version 2.50 for Windows 95/98/NT/2000
    This software is used to perform system backups and restores for AMS versions 2.0 through 3.0.5
    If installed, PKZIP must be listed in the system path.

Note: PKZIP and PKUNZIP Version 1.0 is used to perform system saves, backups, and restores in all AMS versions prior to 2.0.

Do I have to use Windows NT?

AMS will operate under Windows 95/98/2000 or NT 4.0. If you intend to use an OMC Reader/Writer with AMS, you must use either Windows NT Workstation 4.0 or Windows 2000.
